Dear Friends,

The name of our company, "Giving Tree Productions" has a very deep rooted meaning. One of the most honest and good willed people I have ever known, Marla Bennett, was killed July 31, 2002 when a bomb exploded in a cafeteria at Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Although Marla physically died that day, her neshama (spirit) and passion of helping others remained a part of this world through the people's lives that she has made a difference in.

Marla makes me want to be a better person. She makes me challenge myself and most importantly she gave me the courage to visit Israel where she lived some of the happiest moments of her life. While in Israel, Marla made sure to do mitzvahs (good deeds) as though they were a part of a daily routine. She lived and breathed kindness and always gave a helping hand. Of course it is only fitting that her favorite book was The Giving Tree.

Our company reflects both the message of The Giving Tree and the real person that gave everything she had for the sake of others. We hope to honor Marla's memory by continuing to make a difference through what we know best- video and marketing. Our goal is to encourage, promote and publicize the good work of non-profits and organizations alike that reach out and give a hand- just like Marla did. We look forward to working with each and every one of you.

Sincerely,

Molly Livingstone

Director/Producer and Co-Founder of Giving Tree Productions
